Where sport and research row in the same direction

We connect rowing clubs and universities to create a measurable path to wellbeing: guided training, validated methods, and proven impact on health and motivation. The goal? More daily activity and a clear focus on strength, balance, and flexibility—especially for women 50+. Real data, shared results.

More activity with social connection

Among adults 50+, those with strong social ties did about 11.5 minutes of MVPA per day, while socially isolated adults did almost none.

Loneliness is common and costly

About 13% of Europeans often feel lonely, and this is linked to around a 30% higher risk of dementia and worse mental health.

Falls affect women 50+

Among adults over 50, women account for most fall-related injuries, often due to reduced strength, balance, and flexibility.

From the lab to the water, with data in hand.

We co-design, test, and measure. Join in, replicate, and grow your community.

How we work (no fuss)

We listen, we build together, and we get on the water. Short, useful workshops lead straight to real practice—plus quick online bits to keep everyone in the loop. We track what works with plain-English numbers and share a ready-to-use toolkit so other clubs can copy, tweak, and grow.

Join the ROWACT League

ROWACT League is a friendly, non-competitive circuit that connects rowing clubs to boost wellbeing and community. We co-design activities, then test them on the water—short, useful sessions you can copy in your club. Ambassadors welcome newcomers, share tips, and keep the vibe inclusive.

We grow & share

We measure what we do (KPIs, feedback), improve, and put it all into a reusable toolkit.
What you see on our social media: results dashboard, short reports, “ready-to-use” kit for other clubs, .
Why it works: transparency, consistent quality, activities that can be replicated even after the project.
